Oh, and about that coffee? I’m looking for a new coffee; the store brands I’ve been buying are just not tasting the same (even the color of the bean looks ‘off’). I like the milder blends of Starbucks, but I refuse to give them any more money.
So, in the comments, could you make some recommendations? Price is definitely a factor. There are blends I would love to buy, but – come on! $20 or more a pound?

I hope you’re right about the 70% of Republicans, but I have my doubts. Most Americans are still asleep. We’ll see, I guess it’s nice to be hopeful.

I snail-mailed my cut up Starbucks Gold Card to Schultz’s home address on 5/15/2015 and have only had Starbuck’s coffee once or twice when out and that’s all there was. I used to use SBs at home, but have not done that since May 2015. The 8 o’clock stuff I have been using is ….. I can’t think of a word I can use here to describe it.Â
So, I hope you don’t mind if I monitor along with you for a replacement.

Try Kicking Horse coffee, if you can find it. It’s a Canadian brand, but I found it in a grocery store in Chicago when I was down there visiting a friend a few years ago. I like the “bold” variety, but they have a range, from mild to espresso. I roast my own coffee, but I always keep some of this on hand as backup if I run out of my own and don’t have time to roast some more.

Coffee, here in England I buy supermarket single source at about £18 a pound. The quality is at least decent sometimes excellent.
Republicans politicians, if they’re anything like our own conservatives they are in it for themselves, with one or two honourable exceptions. Youngsters are buying the whole scam, from warble gloaming to deadly plague. Our only hope was DJT getting another four years to expose the lies and corruption. 2024 may be too late, the political and cultural landscape will have changed too much to row back to better times.
Even if it fails, and it will with Trump on the masthead, a new populist party to push the useless Republicans into history’s dumpster next to the Whigs, is necessary. Personally, I don’t think there is time left for such to gain traction. The civil war and gulags will be upon us first.
