Why, you may ask? Because of this incident, which took place recently in Festung Washington:
Two young teenage girls have been charged with felony murder after killing a man in DC during an armed carjacking.
Instead of fleeing the scene after the car crashed and rolled on its side, one of the girls began looking for her cellphone that was in the vehicle — while walking nonchalantly past their victim’s body.
The girls, both black, are only 13 and 15 years old.
Their Pakistani victim, Mohammad Anwar, 66, of Springfield, Virginia, was driving for Uber Eats when the girls attempted to steal his car and tased him.

I’ve downloaded the video to prevent it being “lost.”
Yet there are…persons who claim that the racial troubles in this country are a consequence of “white supremacism” and “white privilege.” Draw your own conclusions.
I fear that a racial pogrom is coming. I expected one some time ago, as the linked essays suggest. It didn’t arrive, which testifies to the forbearance of America’s white majority. After this incident, I can’t imagine that it will last much longer.
Maintain high situational awareness.
Know where your loved ones are at all times.
Wherever you live, never leave home unarmed.
If this can happen to some poor schmuck driving for Uber Eats, it can happen to you.

I have carried everywhere even in church since 1978. I will continue because I refuse to be caught unarmed.
I think many are whistling in the wind, just working to get their own “out of town” plans ready. They’re buying up guns. They’re getting their houses ready for sale (in the cities/near them). They’re scouting out more isolated living situations.
They’re paying down their debts. They’re stocking up on long-term supplies. They’re starting to tackle getting those medical issues (including obesity) dealt with. They’re setting up secondary incomes.
They’re starting to look at cashing out their stocks/savings. Putting that into either hard currency/alternative currency/goods that can be bartered.
How do I know?
I am. And, I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer, so when I get skittish, it’s LONG since time YOU should have.
My sympathies to Mr Anwar and his family. Because this happened in a “Gun Free Zone” (i.e., Unarmed Victim Zone).
Could this have happened in a Red State Voluntary Armed/Unarmed zone? Possibly. But I think the chances of it happening would have been a lot less (even when you consider that many Uber drivers “carry”, against company policy).
Will the “spark” happen in a Red Zone? Possibly. Will the “spark” happen in a Blue Zone? More likely. In an inner city ghetto Blue Zone? Now the likelihood approached unity.
And yes, I carry, most places. (where I do and don’t is a “non’ya”) The only storage that I’m lagging on is water. I have barrels, but they’re not filled. Yet.
My best to a’y’all, and your preparations against the Oncoming Hoard. Remember OpSec (Operational Security). I would even go so far as to advise you to follow the Bible, “Let not thy right hand know what thy left hand doith”. I know, I know, not the same type of event, but the principle is the same.
