Health Issue

I broke my right shoulder. I am left-handed, but didn’t realize just how I needed my non-dominant hand and arm.
just waiting for the word on whether it needs surgery.

Hang in there Linda.  Orthopedics is one phase of medicine I do have confidence in, excepting back and spine surgeries.  I had shoulder issues for 40 years and finally got reverse shoulder replacement last September.  The surgery and recovery went better than my wildest expectations.  The key is to get a joint specialist.  Most joint surgeries that go south are done by all purpose orthopedic surgeons.  My guy has done only shoulders for over 15 years.   Hopefully you will not need the degree of treatment that I had, but I noticed that when my “bad” shoulder got fixed, the other one improved also because it was doing 80% of the work.  Good luck.

Think of it this way:  It is a lesson in what it might be like to have a stroke.  Fortunately, given a competent surgeon, you’ll regain most or all of capabilities.

    Get well quickly and soon.
