I recently attended the Dayton (really, Xenia) Hamvention. It’s the biggest gathering of amateur radio operators in the world. Below, I’m attaching a picture of the YLRLs that attended (Young Ladies Radio League). Yes, I realize the term ‘Young Lady’ is somewhat archaic, but it’s also an 85-year-old tradition.

We may look a little bedraggled, but, in our defense, it was raining most of Friday, and part of Saturday.
I had an opportunity to touch base with the Section 8 District Chair, Nancy Rabel (4th from the left, kneeling). She is an aerospace engineer at NASA in Cleveland. The two young ladies in pink (1st two on the left) presented a wonderful talk on younger hams and their work to revitalize the hobby.
I spent some time helping out at the booth, and enjoyed interacting with the others in the club. The YLRL received the Club of the Year award on Friday.
