I think I can talk about the Trump assassination attempt now.
Number one – if the Secret Service actually was trying to get Trump killed, rather than just total and complete incompetency, exactly what would they have done differently?
Number two – we all know the diversity hire in charge of the Secret Service isn’t going to get fired. After all, she was DOCTOR Jill Biden’s pick, And she’s already said she’s not stepping down.
Number three – holy hell, the people they had guarding Trump were NOT the best and brightest. That one woman who couldn’t even holster her pistol? Folks, I understand that the adrenaline was running hot and heavy, but that’s why you PRACTICE. When I was in Utah one of my buddies would set up steel plates, and we would practice drawing, shooting, and re-holstering. That was just for us. We weren’t on a protective detail. And in any case, I wouldn’t be holstering my weapon until Trump was safe. But this woman tried and failed to holster her weapon multiple times. That right there highlights the fact that they’re not serious people.
And finally, this is the world we live in. Everyone here has been warning that the Left is a violent mob. Here’s more proof of that. When Trump wins in November, they’re going to start burning things down. Again. Even if the Democrat vote fraud machine works and Biden is re-installed as the Puppet in Chief, they’re going to burn things down.
Buy more ammo. No, more than that.

Been thinking about getting a nice long gun, but dithering between 5.56 and 7.62 ammo, brand names, etc. (spare mags, speed loader and mid-range scope to be obtained after the basic build gets decided). Also been getting back into muscle memory practice, but slower than what I used to be.
Any suggestions/advice?

5.56 is for shooting poodles and steel targets. If you’re going to get an AR platform, I would suggest getting it in 300 Blackout. Just based on what I see around here, that’s a widely available ammunition that has decent ballistics downrange. Plus, you can get them in subsonic.
Depending on what you’ll use it for, and how far you intend to shoot, a pistol caliber carbine might just fit your bill. I have a Ruger PC9, shoots 9mm, and with the right ammo can put a round on paper at 150 yards. The PC9 can also use Glock magazines. I picked up some good jacketed hollowpoints, 124 grain bullets, and those will drop a coyote at that range. You don’t have any real recoil from a 9mm out of a carbine. I’m trying to acquire a PCC in .45 ACP as well.
If you want something for long range, you can pick up an AR-10 in 308 Winchester. Again, I always try to think about the availability of ammo. What does Bubbah’s Bait and Beer shop have sitting on the shelf that you can purchase if you need it? He’s probably got 308, 30-06 and 270, but he won’t have many of the 6.5 sized ammos, or any esoteric stuff.
Dave I am convinced that the Cheetoh Bandit will have to be fired. Yeah she worked for FritoLay. I am convinced this clown installed the C team on this detail on purpose. The SS is now blaming local cops for not covering the adjacent roof. Sorry bitches, the President is your responsibility PERIOD!
Incompetence, lies and plain dumbfuckery are apparent in all media reports and articles. I note that not a single one I have seen had anything really positive to say about their actions on that day. If firings do not occur we will know the fix is in for sure and I bet they will not fire a one.

People don’t get fired in this administration, especially DEI hires like Cheadle. If they actually hired and fired based on performance, that diversity hire they have for a press secretary would have been gone long ago.
