Beginning Oct. 1, the Seattle Police Department will only dispatch officers to alarm calls that come with “supporting evidence, such as audio, video, panic alarms or eyewitness evidence” that someone is breaking into a home or business, according to a letter interim police chief Sue Rahr sent to alarm companies.
[…]
“With depleted resources, we cannot prioritize a patrol response when there is a very low probability that criminal activity is taking place,” Rahr continued, an apparent nod to the department’s ongoing staffing shortages.
Right, because frightened homeowners routinely call the police to respond to a break-in for a laugh, as entertainment! But never fear: they’ll be Johnny-on-the-spot when it’s time to clean up your corpse.
In point of fact, the police aren’t there to protect you or your property. They’re there to discourage you from protecting yourself. Have a “joke:”
A homeowner woke at midnight to a noise from his yard. He rose and saw two men trying to cut the lock off the door to his toolshed. So he called the police and told the dispatcher exactly that.
But the dispatcher replied, “I’m sorry, sir, we have no one to send at the moment. We’ll get someone out to you when an officer frees up.”
Undaunted, the homeowner waited two minutes and called the police again. This time, he said “You can forget about sending an officer to my place. I just shot the burglars.”
Within a minute, there were six cop cars on the man’s lawn, police were everywhere, and the burglars were in handcuffs. The lead officer confronted the homeowner indignantly. “You said you shot these guys!”
The homeowner smiled. “You said you had no one you could send.”

In Germany the police doesnt come to your aid if you say that a foreigner (aka muslim) attacks you.
One guy was attacked by a few muslims and the police didnt come, wasnt interested.
Shortly before they broke down the door he called them again and began singing a song of the Nazis (aka Horst Wessel song).
Before you could say Hello there were two police cars on his lawn and the GSG 9 had been called and had boarded the helicopter.
He is alive but the government sued him for breaking criminal law 130.
So, in Germany you have a choice: Let yourself bekilled and be a good German or call the cops, sing a forbidden song and be alive but you will be prosecuted and face either financial damage or have to go to prison.
