Free Exercise?

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. [Amendment I to the Constitution of the United States]

The emphasized words are called the Free Exercise Clause today. Arguments over its exact meaning have lasted for more than a century. But surely, if it protects anything, it would protect the right of an individual to refuse to provide a paid, discretionary service forbidden by his religious convictions.

     Kamala Harris disagrees:

Abortion, the sacrament of the Left, is much too important to allow Catholic doctors and Catholic hospitals the Free Exercise of their religions. Never mind that forcing a man to labor for you, even if you pay him for his work, is involuntary servitude, forbidden by the Thirteenth Amendment. The killing of unborn babies must not be impeded by Constitutional trivia!

     Pray.

  1. Please consider the words “pray for the wisdom and courage to defeat each evil as it presents itself.” Why?

The answer to that question involves facing reality and applying the free choice each one of us has been granted.

I’m not saying praying for a miracle is unrealistic. I’m saying that using our brain to come up with solutions pleases fathers worldwide. I can think of very little more than that which pleases me, and if you truly believe you are made in His image, you’ll be praying you could do the same and better for Him.

The ‘liberal’ mantra of “Separation of Church and state” has always been translated as “suppression of the Church by the state”.
