We’re at the midpoint of the “JFK Triduum.” That is, 61 years ago yesterday, President John F. Kennedy was killed by rifle fire. But 61 years ago tomorrow, accused assassin Lee Harvey Oswald was gunned down in public by a mysterious figure named Jack Ruby, a Dallas nightclub owner who had never before been a political figure, or otherwise important to Dallas, to Texas, or to these United States.
There has never been a satisfactory explanation of either of those events. Ruby in particular is a figure who deserves attention. His actions are incomprehensible. Moreover, he died awaiting a retrial on the murder of Oswald.
The subsequent Warren Commission Report is a masterwork: despite its considerable size, it says nothing. Attempts to have an inquiry independent of government were all shoved aside. Mark Lane, the attorney who wrote Rush To Judgment, lodged a great many scathing criticisms of the Warren report. He was derided and defamed for daring to differ with it.
Despite federal regulations that specify that classified materials can only be kept classified for more than 50 years if there is strong evidence that their exposure would endanger persons still living, all government materials on the Kennedy assassination remain classified. Whose lives or fortunes would their exposure endanger? Or has Leviathan invoked the “national security” shibboleth again?
I’m becoming curious. Incoming President Trump has been urged to release those materials. Will he do so? If he fails to do so, there will be many questions. Among them will be this one: Who has threatened you, and with what?

When my mother was 4 YO her neighbor friend was 2YO, this was in 1920. While my mother lived a normal life her friend, an Italian, grew up to become someone high up in the Mafia. He was a family friend and a regular at our house. When JFK was shot I was 20 YO and on that Friday I came home from work intending to eat dinner and go hang out with friends. My mom and dad where in the living room with this family friend watching the news of the JFK shooting and my mother asked him “who would do that, why would they shoot the president?” Without a second’s hesitation our friend said “the Mafia did it. Because the Mafia gave him Illinois in the election and the agreement was that he would leave the Mafia alone but Bobby Kennedy broke the agreement and was going after them. And also because Kennedy bedded Marilyn Monroe taking her away from Sam Giancana. So Giancana authorized the hit.
Two days later when Ruby killed Oswald our friend said that Ruby did if for $100,000 paid by Giancana to his family.
I grew up in Illinois on the other side of the state than Chicago. We all knew and smirked about Mayor Daley delivering dead people votes that put the Il. in the win column for JFK. It has been laughed about and “known” that one of the 3 letter agency’s in DC had authorized it. As for the Warren Report – LOL, bunch of drivel.

There are a number of upcoming litmus tests of the new administration’s stated intention to “drain the swamp” and seize control of the government from the deep-state on behalf of the American people. One of them will be when/if Trump et al. declassify everything pertaining to the killings of JFK, RFK, and MLK.
If the Trump administration backs down, it is almost certain that it will have done so because the intelligence community/national security state is still in charge and is calling the shots, no pun intended.
… or, Oswald was a communist, programmed to kill Kennedy per Nikita Khrushchev. Nikita had second thoughts, and the KGB attempted to recall Oswald. Too late, and Oswald wasn’t under control.

The one man who put an end to the Warren Commission Report is one they never would have expected – Abe Zapruder. His film gave an irrefutable timeline that literally could not be explained away by “Lone Wolf”, including the need for the so-called “Magic Bullet”, given that there was just no way for Oswald to have fired four shots, but four shots were what they had to cope with, by actual injury count – Kennedy x 2 (seen on the tape, the throat wound that Jackie and Connelly both react to, and the fatal shot a few seconds later), Connelly (also seen on the tape), and a distant bystander named James Tague. Not to mention multiple eyewitnesses, including several former military with WW2 combat experience, who smelled gunsmoke near the grassy knoll, several hundred feet away from where Oswald was allegedly lying in wait, but only a few yards from the motorcade path. Lots of questions, and no answers.
In 1976, a House subcommittee dug into the data they had and concluded that Kennedy (as well as that of MLK, Jr) “was probably assassinated as a result of a conspiracy”, and that’s where they left it. No questions about who, why, and what to do about it, just “Yeah, a conspiracy, thanks for stopping by, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out, Security!” In the words of George Carlin: “Well, thank God for that!”

Still waiting for the truth, or something logical that could exclude other theories. I have given up hoping for anything approaching “truth”.
My motive choices are two:
1). That JFK was about to bypass / shut down the Federal Reserve, with thr US Treasury notes thst he started printing, and that “The Beast from Jekyll Island” banking families / Deep State did it to keep control of the US Economy. Or:
2.) That the CIA, specifically the Central American Desk, as an authorized or rogue action, did it because JFK was about to disestablish the CIA in favor of the Defense Intelligence Agency over the CIAs’ bad advice on the support necessary for the Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba.
The CIA officially believed that JFK would “surrender” to the Soviets, and the CIA also believed that they were the “good guys standing between the Communists and the world” so they needed to act. The Central American Desk had already done several Presidential assainations and replacements of governments in Central / South America before Kennedy was murdered.
I am watching Trumps’ Cabinet choices to see which way the Deep State ball bounces, and if Trump will actually do what he has promised.
Another of my annoying old-man’s reminiscences, sorry. But…my old friend, the sadly departed Ronnie Dawson who struck gold with “Action Packed” at the tender age of fifteen as “Ronnie Dee,” once told me about having worked as manager of Jack Ruby’s “nightclub” (titty bar, actually) way back in the day.
Ronnie said he just about spewed his drink all over the TV screen when, as he was watching the transfer of Lee Harvey, his own boss strolls casually sidles up to Oswald, ventilates him, and then gets ventilated himself for his trouble. Ronnie said he started calling up co-workers in a panic, asking “Do I still have a job? Or no?”
