Throwing Up My Hands [Image Added]

Maybe our gentle readers can tell me why a greater alarm hasn’t been raised about risk of losing control of the House of Representatives even temporarily. No telling what damage the Dems might do to Trump in his early days in office.

Why — at least expend some effort — has there been no loud effort to convince Matt Gaetz to claim his duly won seat for a few more months to provide the GOP a buffer? Or is the duplicitous GOPe still controlling everything. We control not a thing?

I laid out the risks 10 days ago, and only today the Epoch times headlined “House GOP’s impending 0-seat majority.”

I can understand the GOPe not wanting us to hear about it, but I remain at a loss as to why, at a minimum, Gaetz hasn’t been publicly pressured by his own constituents. High profile politics knows how to keep a low profile when necessary, so they’ve got all “right” talkers ignoring it?

And there are other measures, too, that President Trump could employ. However, I see no prepping.

What more can I say other than I don’t recommend relying on prayer alone, because God helps those who help themselves.

UPDATE:

Forbes informs us:

“Because Gaetz resigned from Congress, his seat must be filled through a special election in Florida, according to the Constitution, meaning he cannot just retake his place in the House or be appointed into the seat.”

https://www.forbes.com/sites/mollybohannon/2024/11/21/could-matt-gaetz-get-his-house-seat-back-what-to-know-as-trumps-attorney-general-pick-withdraws/

However, in my opinion his declaration that he would not take the seat in the next congress is not an official act of a seated member. So it could be treated as unofficial. He won the seat and thus can still rightfully claim the seat in the next Congress having lost seniority.

After all Gaetz did to wrest control from the deep-state-tied McCarthy, how can he not take his seat even if it means taking on some more heat? I know that the vulturous GOPe has it in for him. but this is what makes for patriots. I thought he was one no matter his other flaws should they exist.

  1. He helps those who ask for help.
But “Show me your faith by your works”.
    I’m asking 🙂
I trust that there has been a proper calculation made regarding this.
I can just watch and pray.
    Cuz it’s leaving me baffled.

And God help those who are caught helping themselves.

  2. Perhaps I should have linked to the title of the post that came before this one. Whenever the GOP fails, Fran could have added this impending doom to the examples of They Weren’t “Failures.”

  3. The crooked uniparty system going public in California in 1994 continues today unabated.

Trump’s reset DOJ could indict every politician in CA under RICO and the consequences to our national problems would still be considerable.

This piece by Daniel Greenfield reports on why we are facing such a narrow house majority. Because of what happened in CA 1994, as I reported on in my first link, could happen to Congress next month.

It sure doesn’t seem that anyone is doing anything to prevent it.

Schadenfreude. The “establishment” roars with laughter…

    1. Indeed. And may they choke on it.

The Special Election for Matt Gaetz seat will be held on April 1, 2025.

Presumably, the Special Election for Mike Walz seat will be held at the same time.

    1. Holding these on All-Fools’ Day isn’t to send us a message, right?
