Perhaps a bit heartless, but perhaps not.

Just for the record, I agree with this 100%. I do not care how many people lose homes in Los Angeles. Especially in Pacific Palisades, or Malibu, or Santa Monica. Because I’ve lived in LA, I’ve been to those areas, and I know without a single doubt that damn near every single person living there, with a few exceptions here and there, voted for Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass. They voted for the people who defunded the fire department. They voted for the people who fired the firefighters who refused to get the jab. They voted for the governor and his cronies who refused to fill the reservoirs. They voted for DEI instead of competence, they voted for Marxism instead of something that actually works, they voted for all of this. They voted for the regulations that prevented the fire base from being cut back. They voted for the empty fire hydrants.

They voted for everything that is now afflicting them.

People learn from two different methods: Repetition and Pain. For the past few decades, the indoctrinated, ignorant Marxists who populate Lost Angeles have learned through repetition that they needed to vote for the incompetent DEI hires. They got rewarded for doing so, in the form of social credit and invitations to all the right parties. They got their egos stroked, and their narcissism praised. Their vapid, vacuous, completely un-earned sense of moral superiority was praised every time they obeyed their indoctrination and voted for the same people who were ruining the city and the state over and over.

Now they’re going to have to learn through pain, as all indoctrinated, ignorant people do. And we can all place bets on the fact that a bunch of them, even after facing this disaster of their own making, will still not learn. They’ll blame Trump, or Global Climate Warming Cooling Change, or whatever else they’re told to trumpet like the brainless puppets that they are. But some of them, a few of them, might just learn that voting for a black woman just because she’s black won’t stop your house from burning down when the fire base has been allowed to grow out of control and there’s no water for the few remaining firefighters to use. And after the fires are gone, they get to deal with the government of LA county, the petty tyrants of the bureaucracy, all the government workers who are the rulers of their tiny domain and they’re going to make sure you bend the knee at every cubicle before you’re allowed to rebuild your house. Must have the permits and must meet all the codes and oh dear your house is too close to the coast now, yes it was grandfathered in but that house is gone and this house just doesn’t meet the statutes.

The petty tyrants of permits are bad enough in rural Northern Idaho, folks. I can’t begin to imagine how bad they’re going to be in Lost Angeles County.

The point is this: There have been multiple people who have pointed out that the over regulation of California, the DEI bullshit, the global warming cultist action, are BAD for civilization and society. It’s not like the entire world just forgot how to deal with a desert area prone to wild-fires. No, plenty of people still know that allowing a fire base and a fuel ladder to exist around homes is a bad thing. But when people pointed it out, Angelinos either insulted those people or just laughed at them. “Oh you poor little stupid redneck idiot, Global Cooling Climate Warming Change means we have to dump all our water into the ocean to save a non-native fish because of feelings! Don’t you see how ignorant you are? We’re just fine here in our progressive bubble untouched by reality!”

These people are now learning through pain. And this. Is. Necessary.

You can pray for them all you want. I certainly am, especially the friends that I have down in that area. But also pray, as all good Christians should, that these Marxist and various other leftist ilk LEARN FROM THEIR CHASTISEMENT. Pray that they learn that DEI hires lead to failure every single time. Pray that they learn not to trust the government when it promises that unicorn farts and rainbow drippings will save them from reality.

Pray that they learn from this.

But they just go through it in order to learn from it. And that is justly deserved.

Sadly true, I also spent quite a while in SoCal, and the amount of depravaty there is hard to imagine.
As far as rebuilding is concerned, I reaclls Rahmm Emanuel’s policy to never let a emergency go to waste.  So hers’s what I think the government will do.
Blame the fires on global warming, no matter what.  Perhaps hold fake hearings aor seat a ‘blue ribbon comission’ to come to this official conclusion.  The prescription for resolving this will of course be more taxation and regulation.  To save the planet. And cover up malfeasence / incompetence.
At the same time, decry the insurance companies leaving/cancelling policies.  Perhaps attempt legal action, but that’s a smokescreen.  Cut deals to get them back at whatever cost.  State subsidies all around.  Get the FedGov to pay for it.  Hide that in the next omnibus.  For those uninsured and conneted, the State will provide grants to rebuild.  Repayment terms will be leniant – more on this later,
Next, Newsom and the legislature, along with local govt puts the arm on the cali coastal comission and the city planning board to cool it.  Variances and exceptions will be granted to those who make the appropriate contributions and say the right things.  Property owners that are not in the loop or are undesirable will not recieve this largresse (sp).  Many will be forced to sell the land at a discount.  And those with connections will be able to buy and build on it.  All will return, shiny and new.
Now the government OWNS those citizens.  The strings from the aforementioned grants will be tugged as needed for contributions or media appearances.  Dangling the possibility of repayment forgiveness ensures ongoing obediance.
Now the leftists are even more locked into place.  And they did it with our money.  Quite a trick, all you need be is an abject sociopath to pull it off.  But that’s practically a requirement for politicians is it not?

The thing that pisses me off most is Bidet’s statement that the Federal Government – that we ALL pay for will rebuild Caleefornya 100%!   Never mind that this assholes minions have allowed terrible things to be done to and in North Carolina and NOBODY IS DOING A DAMN THING ABOUT IT!
I have friends in NC who tell me the horror stories the media either ignores or purposely overlooks.  They would turn you hair white.  There are still MANY missing and the fear is they may never be found.
When the Bidettes confiscate PRIVATE supplies and deny adequate food and shelter AND heat to refugees of Helene this is the most insidiously evil act yet.  Biden needs to be held to account for this and the rest of the evil he has committed.  Of course this addled nincompoop will never see the inside of a prison let alone a gas chamber.  He is “speshul” donchaknow.
