Via Blazing Cat Fur, one of my favorite blogs from Up Yonder, we have this:
Throughout the ongoing Liberal leadership race, the candidates have been tacitly admitting that on major issue after major issue, their outgoing boss, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, was wrong and Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre was right.
The Liberals will never acknowledge this, of course, even though their political strategy heading into the next federal election is obvious.
Their plan is to anoint self-proclaimed “outsider” (insert laughter here) Mark Carney as leader and campaign hoping Canadians will buy their claim they’ve had an epiphany on the issues that drove their public support down to near record low levels.
This while promising to do better if they’re given a fourth electoral mandate.
It’s mind-boggling to imagine that the citizens of any First World nation would buy such a “Yes, we were wrong, so keep us in power” pitch. Yet Canadians have done so repeatedly. Why? What is it about the Liberal Party that makes it politically dominant despite its demonstrated failures and excesses?
Is it a fault in the Conservative Party? When in power, have Canadian conservatives gone too far – or not far enough? The latter was the Republican failing of the middle Twentieth Century: not providing enough of a difference from the Democrats to make voting for them seem worthwhile. It kept the Democrats dominant in Washington from 1932 to 1968.
Well, until recently America has had no reason to preen. We may be seeing a grand correction now, but for quite some time we tolerated a government that steadily increased its oppressions, its exactions, and its corruptions while we sat back and watched. The resistance to the correction is fierce. It may yet preserve its power base and, like Tolkien’s Shadow, “take another shape and grow again.” So while we may look North in puzzlement, let’s not neglect to reflect on our own laxness about “turning the rascals out”… even if the replacement rascals ultimately prove no better.

We cannot be sure that is has been Canadians keeping the liberals in power, not since the Canadian Security Intelligence Service broke the news regarding Chinese interference/influence over every Canadian federal election since Mulroney (1984, for his first of two terms)…
The ruling party even noted that they had a list of the Members of Parliament that had been compromised by Chinese influence, but refused to make that list public.
Fortunately, the ruling party recently concluded an investigation into such corruption, and found no evidence of wrongdoing.
Back to your lives, citizens. Nothing to see here. Vote harder, won’t you?
Carney is to be installed as PM, by the simple mechanism of being selected as party leader. Constitutionally, the next election isn’t mandated until October 2026, so we could conceivably have Carney as PM without his having had to face the electorate (this isn’t as bad as it sounds, since our electorate initially chose Trudeau because he vowed to legalize weed, so it’s composed of the mind-bogglingly stupid).
Carney is far, far worse than Trudeau in his leftward devotions, and he would then have eighteen months or so to do whatever he could. We might not make it to the next election.
One of the reasons for this I believe, is there are no other choices.
Whether through voting fraud, or campaign finance control, or straight up criminal activity and threats, honest people simply do not make it that far in politics. You might get to be mayor of some city, or even a state representative, but you’ll never hit the national level unless you’re willing to ‘play ball’ with the entrenched group of people. Look at that kid from the Carolina’s that got in, then spilled the beans on whats-his-name doing a line of coke and offering an invite to fuck his wife at the orgy this weekend… Where did he go? Primaried out after 1 term. You need to be as rich as Trump to sponsor yourself, otherwise you’re just going to end up being a tool of the uniparty system. And that’s what it is, it’s a system setup to serve itself, make sure outsiders never get in, because if their fraud were to be exposed, The People would call for their immediate hanging, as we are seeing, with the info DOGE is getting into the sunlight.
Castro’s son was anointed with the aid of Indian and Chinese immigrant politicians and string pullers. Canada screwed themselves by opening the flood gates of immigration for profit. I honestly don’t think Canada can unscrew themselves. In 20 years or so more than half of your politicians and leaders will be immigrants and sons and daughters of immigrants. Lest you think this is just some anti-immigrant rant you have to understand that the majority of immigrants from Indian and China and even their children born in their new country still consider themselves first to be Indian or Chinese and not Canadian. Canada is the country that they are currently colonizing and once they are in power they will open the flood gates to mass immigration from “their” country.
