There are important bits of strategic and tactical wisdom that anyone involved in the fight for freedom should have in mind at all times. Today’s reminder of one of the central ones comes from PJ Media’s Lincoln Brown:
[T]he Left is smarter and craftier than you think and far more patient than the face it presents to the public. Ignore that at your peril.
The key attribute to winning the “long game” is perseverance. The Left has cultivated it for generations. Its strategists accept no setback as permanent. They never accept defeat in a meaningful sense. They regard our bastions as targets to be undermined, not points to be bypassed.
In this regard, they’re smarter than are we.
In political combat, neither defeat nor victory is permanent. Nothing is what it seems – nor what its promoters claim it to be. There’s always more going on than a casual observer can glean from a passing glance.
Stay vigilant.
Stay engaged.
Stay strong.

It is said that there is no castle that cannot be taken given enough time. Merely defending a structure only buys time.
The only way a structure remains unbreached is either the defenders devise a way to take the battle to the assaulters — a counter offensive — or allies come into relieve the defenders and cut off the attackers from any chance of retreat or resupply. And even that is no sure win without a winning strategy well executed.
Caesar succeeded at his siege of Alesia despite 100,000 Gauls coming in to relieve the town and surround his forces.
Jerusalem somehow survived being surrounded by 150,000 Assyrians, but the account attributes it to divine intervention.
There have been sieges that only weather saved the town until spring when the attack resumed. Any town that did not plan a counter offensive and/or alliances that were ready next spring were doomed if the enemy king or kingpin had not died in the interim.
The point I’m making adds to your recommendation [is] that a counter offensive needs to be instituted. This is why I am happy that military historian Victor Davis Hansen has labeled MAGA a counter-revolution. That requires offensives, not only defense.
Quite right, which is why – like it or not – there is going to be a civil war. My friend Allison has gotten over her grief of Trump being re-elected and that grief has turned into foaming at the mouth rage. All I’ve been hearing is “Just wait until we get back into power, oh you people are going to be sorry!”, so yes, at some point there is going to be violence. There are those like her who will never be able to let it go.
