Observation Of The Day

I’m increasingly impressed by the contributions to geopolitical understanding offered by comedians and humorists. Today’s example comes from the celebrated Stephen Kruiser, whom I’ve long admired:

If ever a world leader needed an upbraiding from the leader of the free world, it’s this guy and his bad Gap chic wardrobe. I can’t shake the feeling that Zelenskyy is more concerned with being an international celebrity than bringing peace to his people. Yeah, that sounds outlandish, but the guy really is a traveling clown show. He’s severely out of his league for a battle of wills with President Trump.
That dust-up in the Oval Office may end up doing more to bring an end to the Russia-Ukraine war than anything other world leaders have contributed to the process.

Indeed! What Trump delivered to Zelensky wasn’t a mere backhanding for his cheek; it was a dose of reality. The aid the United States has given to Ukraine has allowed Zelensky to persist in a war his nation can’t win. That persistence has bled Ukraine down to its last reserves. The only route to Ukrainian survival is to accept the loss of the Russian-controlled region in exchange for an armistice and some sort of defensive cordon for Ukraine’s revised western border. But Zelensky is unwilling to accept that outcome. After all, he’s managed, with American weapons and funds, to stave it off so far, so why give in now?

I’ve already stated what I believe to be the basis for Zelensky’s stubbornness. It’s understandable that he should seek to preserve himself and his position. But events have him cornered. No matter what should follow the Oval Office contretemps, his doom is now writ large. The war will soon be over… as will he.

If US leftists and neocons would quit telling Zelensky that he can win and will continue getting support from the United States this war would be over already.   Zelensky’s report from actors outside the White House are the one cheering on his resistance to peace.

The Congress critters who coached Skyy to reject the mineral deal should be brought up on charges.  Logan act for starters and treason might be a good finale.  Coons was the latest villain here and he needs to pay for his crimes.

When will people see the left for what it really is?  I don’t know if they are actually capable of independent thought.  It seems all they can do is the “collective” thing.  It is a strength but, it is also their weakness.

  1. I think that the best result of Trump spanking the midget has been watching the euroweenies turning themselves inside out in outrage at America.  Then seeing the midget realize that the eu cannot help.
