Not just personal.
National.
International.
Personally, I’m now waking up without that “OMZ, I have SO much to get done today that is ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL!” feeling. See here for some details, and here.
Prolonged stress can wreak havoc on your mental and physical well-being. It’s been a long time since I slept soundly, without suddenly waking with a racing heart. Having left my REALLY IMPORTANT task list unfinished – for a LONG time – leads to those middle of the night panics. These were tasks that would not, could not, be checked off in short time. Some of them required the cooperation and interaction with other people. Some of them had lengthy paperwork. Others required maneuvering through bureaucracy, in multiple offices.
All were millstones hung around my neck.
But, finally, the end is near (in a GOOD way).

The changes in the Federal government have contributed to that improved feeling of hope. I’m actually not following the news that closely right now. I was edgy BEFORE the election, and still holding my breath until the Inauguration, but I’m no longer worried.
I said my piece before the election. I voted. I prayed. I did all that I COULD do.
And, thank God, it was enough.
I’ll be writing over the next week or so about the progress DOGE is making, and why relatively small cuts will have BIG impact, both on the size of the Deep State/Federal Bureaucracy, and the massive amounts of money that are leaking out.
But, for today, I’m off to clean up my kitchen, tidy my office, and get back to Normal.
And, for us Normals, Normal is good – REALLY good.

On a personal note, I’m a machine programmer.Things are so slow right now that I’m programming in my dreams. That does not lead to a sound sleep.
