As previously reported, social media platform X was down on Monday morning.
Thousands of users reported issues with logging in and posting.
According to Down Detector, there were at least four or five outages reported by users.
Later Monday morning Elon Musk provided an update and said there is a massive cyberattack.
“There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against ,” Elon Musk said.
Musk said the attack this particular cyberattack is sophisticated and claimed a country might be involved.
“We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved,” he said.
X is now the premier communications platform on the World Wide Web. Musk has dismantled all the political censorship that once made it inhospitable to us in the Right. A great many people are angry about that and want things back the way they were. Until quite recently that might not have been sufficient motivation for a huge expenditure of resources to shut X down, but with Musk’s importance to the Trump Administration’s agenda, those who hate him could well have enlisted allies wealthy enough for an attack of unprecedented magnitude.
Let’s hope the perpetrators are swiftly unearthed. Too much depends on open and unfiltered communication, and X is the place for it today.
(NB: Yes, X treated me shamefully. What of it? That’s no justification for this. I wish Elon Musk and his enterprises all the best.)
Leftists are explicitly calling for Musk to be assassinated:
I suppose Democrats in the House and Senate would disclaim responsibility for this incitement to assassination, but their hysterical, and wholly false, attacks on President Trump have already led to at least two assassination attempts on him. Musk’s life is at risk.
He’s a very capable guy, but I doubt that he has eyes in the back of his head.
You ask what of it? The problem is indicative of centralized control the very problem that Elon is attempting to help Trump solve or at least ostensibly so.
Previously I asked Grok2 what could be done and the answers were pedestrian. I’m thinking of asking Grok 3 how does one penetrate to your owner that he’s permitting the kind of shabby behavior at X that he’s trying to solve or prevent from continuing on from DC
