As a Texan, it saddens me the depths of depravity that beset that city, brought on by migration of certain demographic that evacuated New Orleans during Katrina and decided to stay.
It wasn’t Katrina.
I was in public schools in Houston for 3rd thru 6th grade. My 1 year younger brother and I were in fights daily because we would not bow the knee. Cutting in lunch lines, shoving indiscrimanatly in hallways between classes, aggressive bullying at recess.
Mom realized what was going on, bless her, and moved us to Pasadena. I graduated in 1997 with 2 blacks in my class.
