    Good morning Francis and yes, it is a great quote. Funny you bring this up as I was discussing the Reagan Presidency with my nephew yesterday, as he is finishing a term paper on Reagan’s foreign policy.

    Specifically, I made mention to him about how when Carter’s team was exiting the White House, many people who had worked in his State Department who had decided to resign, rather than work for Reagan, informed many of their counterparts in countries around the world that the reason they were resigning was because Reagan wasn’t “playing with a full deck”.

    This ended up backfiring on them due to the fact that this circulated through all of the worlds intel agencies and made a number of the worlds leaders – especially this of the former U.S.S.R. – tread very carefully around Reagan. After all, no one wants to play chicken with a guy who everyone suspects might be insane. This current crew is different, as they believe all of their own BS about being the “anointed” as Thomas Sowell eloquently put it. They’ll purposely crash the car if they can’t have control of it, gladly killing as many people as they can in the process and then blaming it on them. “It’s your fault, you shouldn’t have gone off the reservation.”will go the refrain.
