Congress hasn’t managed to repeal it:
Leftist activist Nina Turner recently posted a simple tweet calling for a $25/hr minimum wage, variations of which she frequently posts.
$25/hr minimum wage.

Which is hilarious considering she only paid her canvassers $15/hr.
That’s the “action.” Now for the “reaction:”
Predictably, Corporate America has responded exactly as you’d expect. They don’t want to pay low skill, low education, minimum wage workers $25/hour, so they’d rather just eliminate those jobs entirely. And that’s exactly what McDonalds has already done. They’ve already eliminated a bunch of jobs by installing kiosks where you take your own order and process your own payment rather than paying an employee to take your order and payment. And now, they figure they may as well eliminate as many human jobs as possible. So they’re testing a drive-through restaurant location in Texas where there are only humans in the kitchen.

Do tell.
Were you aware that the first “minimum wage law” Congress enacted set the minimum at $0.25 per hour? That was back in 1938, of course. But ponder well the demand for a $25.00 minimum wage: one hundred times the original level. What does it say about what’s been done to the dollar…and to our politics, that so many people should think such legislation will have net social benefits?
McDonald’s has provided the refutation. Other low-wage employers will follow suit to the extent technology makes possible. Public flacksters and grifters: Don’t say you were never warned.

But who will purposefully get your order wrong if there are no blacks working there? The MacDonalds and especially Wendys experience just won’t be the same.
Cause and effect is not something that Nina and her ilk understand.
