The black would-be murderer would not drop the knife he held – the knife with which he’d been trying to kill a defenseless white woman – even after he’d had a whole clip of (what was probably) 9mm ammunition fired at him. Why do you suppose that was?
I have no doubt that the white cop who took him down will face an eviscerating “fact-finding” about this incident. We’re in the Era of the Most Holy George Floyd, don’t y’know. I mean, for blacks to rape and / or kill white women is their racial prerogative. Protected by the Constitution, isn’t it? I’m sure it’s in there somewhere.
If you’re white:
- Stay away from blacks;
- Never leave the house unarmed;
- If you must shoot, shoot to kill.
Would anyone like to argue the point?

The perp was doomed after the first 3-4 rounds. Unfortunately unless you hit them in the brain or the spinal cord paralyzing them most bad guys are capable of continuing violent actions for quite a while even after soaking up a dozen rounds. Be aware of this reality. Also…while 9mm can and does kill plenty of people it has not been a very capable round at literally stopping people as some other rounds are.

Three thoughts.
First, Jeff Cooper would have added another point to your list… ‘Use enough gun’.
Second, some of life’s problems can indeed be addressed with 9×19. For everything else, there is 12 gauge.
Lastly, engagement doctrine used to be ‘Targets shall be addressed until they stop moving’. Since it was subsequently observed that targets so addressed can be sneaky on occasion, engagement doctrine has been adjusted.
It is now phrased as ‘Targets shall be addressed until one of the following conditions are met:
The target catches fire.
The target changes shape.”
