The Phrase “Just How Stupid Can a Person Get?”

…was a question, not a challenge.

The generation of Feminists that dominated the Democratic Party (and GOP Lite) have been both a major embarassment, and a potent argument for taking back Female Suffrage.

Those of us who at least ATTEMPT to use reason as a means of making decisions, and take responsibility for our bonehead mistakes, have to be banging our heads on our desks, screaming, “Dear God! Make it STOP!”

A direct quote (see above link):

I think I was wrong then about the path that inflation would take. As I mentioned, there have been unanticipated and large shocks to the economy that have boosted energy and food prices, and supply bottlenecks that have affected our economy badly that I didn’t – at the time, didn’t fully understand. But we recognize that now the Federal Reserve is taking the steps that it needs to take. It’s up to them to decide what to do. And for our part, President Biden is focused on supplementing what the Fed does with actions we can take to lower the cost that Americans face for important expenditures they have in their budgets. Prescription drugs is one example, healthcare costs…utility bills, if Congress is willing to pass some of the proposals to boost the use of nonrenewables, I think that can serve to bring down an important cost that households face. He realizes, we all realize what an important and huge burden inflation is placing on American households.”

I highlighted the most boneheaded parts (it was a challenge to limit the hightlighting). Lady, you’re the Freakin’ Secretary of the Treasury! If you don’t know what effect supply bottlenecks would have on the economy, you should tender your resignation immediately – then, go home and drink yourself to death in isolation. Without your cushy government pension.

(I’m nice – I would let any person in that position – retiring in disgrace – to receive the share that THEY contributed to the fund – NOT any part of what the taxpayers put in).

I’m so sick of the “I’m just a little woman, don’t understand those complicated thingies like math and science and economics and law! It’s not my fault!”

We need people – male or female (them’s the only choices) – who are adults, and will take responsibility for their actions. Who will not weasel out of blame, lie/dissemble/hedge about their part in the mess, or otherwise try to evade their just punishment.

    The adults see what is coming, and are holed up with independent power, food, and water waiting for this cultural storm to play itself out. When we come out of the bunkers, the world won’t be green, it will be red and full of stench from the rotting bodies.

  1. We need people – male or female (them’s the only choices) – who are adults, and will take responsibility for their actions.

    That disqualifies the entire political class. Those folks — male and female — have raised the practice of evading responsibility for the disasters they produce to a fine art. You might even say they’ve been bred for it. The whole of the political dynamic — i.e., the dynamic of power-seeking — raises to the pinnacle of any hierarchy those who are most highly skilled at:
    1. Winning the trust of others;
    2. Grabbing the credit for what goes right;
    3. Evading the blame for what goes wrong.

    “Democracy” as practiced these past two centuries has been an exercise in the breeding of con men.

    There comes a point when one must accept that what is being publicly admitted as a “mistake” is simply not, but is the result of intentional behavior.  Recall that once is happenstance; twice is coincidence; three times is enemy action.  Yellen is being trotted out to say a few mea culpas in the hope that the populace will continue to think we are still in the”happenstance/coincidence” stage in order to deflect or at least defer recognition that it has largely been the result of intentional “enemy action” that we find ourselves in a failing economy, shortages of essentials in the food and energy department, a southern border that has been erased so as to enable the inflow of millions of aliens with the intent of erasing heritage America, a currency that is rapidly becoming valueless, etc., etc., etc.  It may simply be a bridge too far to expect “normals” to finally accept that those who have usurped the reigns of the federal government hate them and want them dead in order that all their accumulated wealth can be confiscated and redistributed to the more favored groups.  I have repeatedly maintained the former slaves do not want equality with the master; they want to be the master, and nowhere has this turned out to be more true than in contemporary America.  I regret that I live in the generation that has been propagandized to accept that they must agree to and even promote their own extinction.  I can only hope the scales fall from their eyes while they still have a chance to resist, but hope fades with each passing day and every revelation of the extent that our country has been taken over by a cabal of its enemies.

      Absolutely true. This is a deliberate attempt to destroy the country and shift into the Green New Deal. Before they can do that they must disarm the populace, hence the various pretexts that are being given around the country, giving political cover to the likes of Senator Mitch McConnell, Gov. Greg Abbot, and many more “decepticons” (H/T to Sundance @ “The Conservative Treehouse”). This entire administration are throwaways and non entities being sacrificed by Obama and his handlers for their agenda. We know the agenda, we know the players; act accordingly. Bellum praeparamus.

    Yes.
    Looking to causes now…it seems as if our legislative branches have abdicated, and that the resultant backlog of unresolved national issues are beginning to exact an intolerable toll.
    Litigating them daily in refereed, partisan media forums, like social media is not, I repeat, IS NOT, working.  It is a scoundrel democrat who relies on ex parte activism in contrived, media “parliaments” like Facebook or Yale Law Review to substitute for legitimate debate in his proscribed Common Law committees.
    It is always to dodge debate and defeat in a controlled forum that one resorts to ex parte games.  America’s tolerance of it is starting to cause some nasty down-stream effects.  It is a sign of disrespect for the body the ‘democrat’ sought election to, signals ill-will in legislative contests, and is the mark of a movement that cannot win majorities in American legislatures.  And folks who indulge in it should be taken to task for it.
    After the mid-terms, the Congress needs to hunker down, turn off the TV’s and do its job.  The next Speaker should insulate the body respectfully from Senate influence, too, as not to blunt creativity and boldness in its revived debates.
    Furthermore, the new Congress should censure its members who undermine the body’s deliberations by throwing bombs off-stage, if only to point out the daily insurrections they commit on the pages of the Washington Post to established parliamentary order.
    Last, the Congress should strenuously act to end the Executive overuse of Executive Orders.  EO’s erode the Congress’ power-of-the-purse, as well as tilt the Nation towards Monarchy.  Until the Congress retakes the purse strings from the State Department and other Executive cabinets, and gets back to legislating, we’re fated to be governed by this panicky media confab which rules by crises, forever.
