What I Could Not SayYesterday

I had thought I was rational and realistic about Trump’s chances.
I wasn’t.

I was irrationally hopeful that, despite the. Biased judge and the NY Dem jury, when they heard the actual case against him, they might have, at least, a hung jury.

I was wrong.

so very wrong.

Now, the Entitled Etitled think they have managed to pull off the task of cutting Trump off at the knees. The trial is over, I think it’s a fair bet that the judiciary between that verdict and any appeal is either solidly in the Not Trump corner, or bought off – with either money or blackmail.
Trump cannot hope for the appeals process to save him, despite the fact that he did, in fact, have a very appealable process.

Ain’t gonna help to hope.

And, having in court, Trump will be facing state/local prosecutions in multiple locales, designed to pile on to keep him off the campaign trail. They learned their lesson in the NY trial.

Whatever it takes, they will NOT let him get out to meet the people. Expect some sort of “preventive detention” that has him confined to home without use of media access, computers, or ability to text.

For his own good, of course.

My husband has the local Fox News channel on. I slept late and am just now getting started with my day. The mood in the local (Cleveland region) news is subdued, not triumphant about the verdict. I expect on many channels, and in many regions, the mood is over the top HAPPY!

By our quiet, they will likely be uneasy, but also telling themselves that their tactics worked. We will accept the jury verdict, and get back to accepting the Almost-A-Democrat candidate the GOP leadership will likely put up. They will promote him/her as a “Real Conservative”, but one you can trust.

Not like He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named.

While you are waiting for the next events, try re-reading “The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress”. And consider printing some stickers to replace that stash of Biden “I did that!” ones.

Maybe like this (please don’t duplicate or rip off the artist – design your own):

Or contact the guy and ask if he would make stickers. Pay in cash.

  1. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve read that book. I need to see if I still have a copy, or if I gave it away to someone who needed to read it.
